Andy walks with me

The age old joke is understood only by those who have sung hymns for most their lives. A little boy asks who Andy is and why he keeps walking with everyone.

"And HE walk with me and He talks with me and HE tells me I am his own."

For about 20 years we have run our dogs in the farmers fields. We have sought the permissions and through every season, run the dog. It has been in sunshine, rain, wind and snow. The one time I won't go is if there is rain and wind combined, I do have my limits.

I have listened to books, listened to music and for a very short season, tried to learn how to run. Some of my more beautiful photographs have been from this lovely patch. I have practiced sermons, run through complicated lesson plans but more often then not, I have prayed out loud.

Lately, it seems that is all I have been doing.

I have no idea what your walk of faith is like, but like the name of this blog, I walk by faith, mostly stumbling it seems. My prayers, though consistent, seem really really monotonous.

Succinctly

We are a mess.

We keep messing up, can you clean up the mess we keep making.

Would you heal us all. Amen

Does it matter or mean anything at all? Well, if it does in the times when everything works well, then maybe when nothing does it matters more.  It's all a bit strange this talking to the Universe Creator and Keeper, but this I do know...

Sassy needs to run, otherwise her energy drains the peace in the home.

I really need to pray, otherwise my anxiety does the same.

Maybe, just maybe God is also walking me.
